Printed mousemats are perhaps the one product that spurred us on to create Total Merchandise Ltd 6 years or so ago! Forgetting the fact we sell printed mousemats as a product, we don't think we've gone a day whereby we've used our Macs or PCs without having a printed mousemat of some kind to hand.
A few callers to our sales team ask if mousemats really work, and what are the differences between the various types of mousemats?
A few years ago, promotional mousemats came in only one option. They tended to be square or rectangular and rather... floppy. Nowadays, you can choose to have a bespoke shape of your choice if you want and of course, a multitude of finishes as well.
In terms of finishes, generally speaking, the harder a surface of a mousemat, the better it helps the tracking of an optical mouse. The softer mats work well with old skool traditional mice. If you have a laptop with one of those small plugin mobile mice, we'd suggest a Britemat with a harder finish. These, of course, wear better so the wear and tear of being shunted around in a laptop bag and placed on a multitude of surfaces will be better over time as well.
