What’s the first thing you think of when we say promotional mugs? If you’re like us here at Total Merchandise the first thing we think of is a nice cuppa tea (or coffee, depending on the day).

You really can’t beat that first cuppa in the morning, it always seems to re-energise and brighten up the day. How long does it take you to drink a cuppa? If you think about it, a cup of tea or coffee can be sitting on the desk for up to an hour on a busy day, before we get round to drinking it.

Not sure about you, but a cold cuppa tea or coffee isn’t the best thing for the old taste buds. To get around this many people in the office bring in their own travel mugs, which often keep their beverage warm a lot longer than the average teacup. Think of the promotion!

Branded Mugs Are A Great Marketing Tool For Your Business

As with many things people own, pick up or buy, promotional mugs offer a fantastic platform to promote anything you want. From business logos to funny messages to images of a loved one.

As we’ve said before, a busy day at the office could see those promotional mugs sitting on desks for hours, waiting for those few spare moments someone has to drink its continence. All the time that the promotional mugs are sitting on someone’s desk at work or home, their showing off whatever you decided to promote on the mug. This could offer you hours of promotion with little expense!

Taking promotional mugs home? If you think of promotional mugs as promotional giveaways that people can put in their homes to make it look nice, then the design on the front of them needs to be on top form. When you think of the mugs people buy for their homes, it’s more often than not, people buy mugs to match the look they want to achieve in their home.

For example, if they have a lovely purple kitchen then, of course, they will want lovely purple mugs to match it. Many companies take advantage of surveys and questionnaires to find out a bit more about their target market, to get to know what their clientele like and dislike, and then invest and design their promotional items accordingly. This then grabs more attention from their target market and so increases the company’s brand awareness.

Keep it relevant! If a business is relevant to coffee, try handing out the promotional mugs by calling them ‘coffee mugs’. Even though really, they can put whatever beverage into the promotional mug they like, but coffee is more relevant to the business. The more relevant you can make a promotional item to the business, the better, as there is a better chance people will remember your company.

Next time you pour your cuppa, add milk and two sugars... just think of the careful thought and consideration that has gone into the creation of that promotional mug!
