We're now looking for the right person to join our team of 40+ people in the newly-created role of Business Development Manager.

Job description

This is a full-time on-site role, based at our office in Colchester, Essex.

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities, driving sales growth, and building and maintaining strong client relationships.

From reaching out to dormant clients to introducing yourself to prospective new ones, the ideal candidate will be a proactive go-getter who understands the value of relationship-building and client management. A motivated self-starter, you’ll be as comfortable cold-calling as you will promoting the business at trade shows, and will be as focused on building client relationships as you are on hitting targets. 

The ideal candidate will be required to…

  • Research and make contact with potential clients
  • Build long-lasting relationships and act as a point of contact for the client
  • Provide updates to stakeholders in regards to progress made
  • Represent the business at customer-facing events
  • Meet targets across a number of KPIs
  • Work on tenders where applicable

You will have…

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Prior experience in business development and client relationships management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

Knowledge of the promotional merchandise industry is a bonus but not essential.
