We know that the festive season can be an incredibly busy period, and with Christmas fast approaching it is now your last chance to prepare for the festivities and plan for the New Year ahead!
We’ve put together a few of our top business tips for some general Christmas housekeeping and for surviving Christmas in general. After all, once Christmas is over, the festivities start to slow down and you’ll finally be able to relax a little… HO HO HO!
Merry Christmas To You!
Christmas is a time for giving and for being thankful. One great idea for your business is to wish your customers a very merry Christmas, perhaps in the form of a small gift or a card. If your budget does not allow for this, there are still many ways you can wish your customers a joyous festive season; you could send a mass Christmas email to everyone thanking them for their custom in 2016, and to wish them a merry Christmas. By doing this, your customers will remember your brand, and you will hopefully end up on their good list, and not the naughty list…

Communicate, Communicate, Communicate!
As the saying goes, communication is key. As many businesses do, if your business is closing over Christmas you need to make sure your clients, suppliers, and delivery networks know! Ensure that everyone is aware of your opening hours over the festive season, whether that is by email or on your website.
Additionally, another top tip is to organise your answer phone messages and automated email responses to notify your customers when your company will be returning, and to wish them a Merry Christmas.
Check Online
Your storefront may be decked with holly and tinsel; however, your website may say otherwise! Ensure that your website is up to date over this holiday season, by indicating your opening hours and perhaps including a few Christmas themed articles in your News section if you have one.
Moreover, if you are closed over Christmas it’s always a good idea to put a small banner on your homepage indicating that this is the case to your clients, and so that your customers know when they can contact you again.
We’re sure that most of you have already done this, however, we do hope that we have reminded a couple of you how important this is! After all, a little housekeeping for your business can go a long way. Ultimately the key thing to remember is that Christmas is about relaxing and having fun - you and your company have worked hard all year and deserve this Christmas break so enjoy it! Recharge your batteries and let’s get ready for the New Year.
