Free Ways to Market Your Brand

There are hundreds of marketing tactics out there; some of them will have a cost that makes your eyes water and others will take up your entire marketing budget. However, there are strategies out there that your business can thrive off, and they won’t cost you a penny.

Whether you’re a multinational company with hundreds of thousands of pounds in your marketing budget or a local business on a shoestring budget, there is no denying that every company can benefit from free marketing to promote their brand. We’ve put together a list of marketing ideas that are completely free – no strings attached!

1. Increase Lead Generation With Emails

Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to increase your leads as well as your customer engagement. It’s simple to execute and has a great return on investment for your business. What’s not to love?

We recommend establishing a regular newsletter to be sent out to your customers that offers up-to-date information about your company, as well as special offers and promotions that you are running. There are free services out there to help you develop your email campaign, such as MailChimp. Utilise these great, free services as they can help you automate and target your emails effectively.

2. Get Social (Media)

Now we’re in 2019 there is almost no excuse for a brand to not have a social media page! The social media giants, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, are all completely free to use (unless you are upgrading to certain business accounts), easy to get started and offer you a huge network of potential customers that you can connect with. Did you know that as of June 2019 Facebook has 2.41 billion active users worldwide?!

The point of using social media is to share content that is interesting, relevant to your business, and sharable. Implement a social media strategy where you are posting on various platforms a few times per week (more, if you have time) and after a while, you can analyse the trends of your posts to see what customers are liking and commenting on most – this gives you direction for future content. If you're looking to increase your business' Facebook engagement check out our recent article.

3. Create A Blog

We have already discussed in detail the wonders of blogging and what it can do for your business - if you haven’t read that two-part article you can check it out here. Make sure you are taking advantage of this great strategy which again, doesn’t cost you anything. You can leverage your blog to create brand awareness as well as build relationships by sharing your thoughts, ideas, and up-to-date news about your business.

There are so many ways you can market your brand effectively without dipping into your marketing budget. We hope these three tips help to get you started!
