As the weather remains cold, many people are starting to book holidays abroad to get some sun. As the economy still looks weak, lots of people are choosing to holiday at home in the UK this year. The Summer of 2012 showed a lot of the country how beautiful the UK really is, and has meant people are much more interested in visiting different parts of it. Not only does holidaying in the UK mean you can visit parts which you haven't previously, but it also saves a lot of money. This means if you are a hotel owner then you should invest in promotional items to bring people into your hotel.

Visitors are generally attracted to one of three things when choosing the hotel they stay in. The first is likely to be the cost of the hotel. After the Summer of Sports and Royal engagements last year, more people are choosing to visit Britain and lots of hotels may be increasing their prices to suit demand. The location of your hotel is another factor which visitors would consider, however this isn't something which can be done much about. The third and final way you can promote your business is through advertising and branding your hotel.

How you brand your item is very important in the hotel industry as it can set you apart from other hotels. Just in London alone there are over 2,000 hotels so unless you are part of a well known chain with lots of money to spend on advertising, you can struggle to get noticed. Advertising is very important as it can attract new customers, but what is the best way to advertise your hotel? Advertising a hotel can prove to be very expensive, but you could simply give out promotional key rings at events or by sending them via post to previous visitors. Whilst previous visitors may not return again, they may pass your details onto one of their friends who may visit your hotel.
