You can be ready for the new year with specially printed USB's for the office. These are great for campaign ideas for the new year as well as gifts for your customers and employees.
USB's have many uses, they can store data as well as remind us of work which we are yet to complete. Can you remember all the pieces of work you completed last week? We doubt it, most people have trouble remembering all the work they completed yesterday, never mind last week! But, if you have the uncompleted piece of work saved on a USB stick, then you have a reminder to complete it whenever you plug the USB stick in.
For many workers, if feels like the USB device has always existed. In retrospect, it has, but not in its current form. A USB is a device that stores work from your computer. This can be transported from place to place, exchanging data from computer to laptop, or visa versa. This can be used at home, work or even in schools. It is easily removed from the computer and can upload and transfer work quickly and efficiently.
The USB in its current form was only introduced in 1999. There are many people who claim to have invented the USB drive including Amir Ban and two other colleagues. This group of people all worked at the Israeli company M-Systems and presented the device to a technology conference in the USA in 1999.
Before the USB, the 'floppy disc' was used, data was put onto these discs and put into other machines to hold and transport work. The earliest 'floppy discs', were developed in the 1960s. They created large amounts of different kinds of 'floppy discs' and in 1996 there were approximately five billion of these 'floppy discs' in use all over the world. A company in Singapore, Trek Technology, also claims to have created the USB stick, so there is some controversy over where it initially came from.
Of course, before the USB there were other data storage devices used. The most common in our memory is the 3½ inch floppy disc. This was used for computers through the decades but it had limitations. For example, you could only store a certain amount of data onto it. It was also fairly large compared to the sleek and much smaller USB stick. The USB device can also hold more than five times the amount of data that a floppy disc ever could.
If you are looking for data storage solutions then consider printed USBs that can promote your company as well as store data.
