How Targeting Millennials Can Be Your Marketing’s Secret Weapon

Promotional items and Corporate Gifts are normally geared towards what is classed as 'B2B'...Business to Business. That is, one business giving another business (supplier or client) a business gift. However, we've seen a rise in orders for Promotional items that instead target the younger generation.

The reason for this, we've discovered ourselves is the 'Facebook generation'. After starting civil wars and uprisings in the middle East, Facebook and Social Media now seems to be working as possible one of the best forms of marketing a business would love to deploy.

The reason why promotional items geared towards this young generation is so lucrative though, is that these youngsters like to spread the word and socialise over really anything...what they've had for tea, who they are going out with, what happened on Eastenders last night and so on. If this same crowd were given promotional items, or FREE promotional items, they'll tell their friends. And those friends woul then know your brand.

With Social Media, a single user can have the reach of literally tens of thousands of other people. Let's say a Twitter user for example has a realistic following of 500people. The twitter user make a tweet and let's say, 10% of his followers read and 'Re tweet' the message again, and 10% again and so on...that's 1000 possible people who could see your message within seconds.

What's also so great about Social Media is that unlike 'forcing' your brand upon recipients, they are actually recommending your business and one recommendation = 1000 adverts!

Don't forget the Facebook generation. They're your secret army!
