With the Christmas and New Year period now behind us, the normality of a routine will begin to reappear, and an individual's roles and responsibilities fall upon them once more... yet the one big thing which many have on their mind, is losing the weight they put on throughout the festivities.
Whilst many look to control their food consumption throughout the Christmas break, it can be difficult to do so, especially with many drinking throughout Christmas Day itself. Alcohol contains a large volume of calories and many often fail to recognise the damage which drinking can have upon an individual's weight.
Therefore the consumption during Christmas, as well as the beginning of thousands of New Year's Resolutions, means a large rise in the participation of exercise, providing an opportunity for businesses to benefit from.
However, whilst gyms begin to fill up, and the pavements pound with an increasing number of feet, there are still a few yet to get their post Christmas workouts underway. Providing individuals with an incentive can prove advantageous to the consumer as well as your business, and should it mark the beginning of a health kick, can help to nurture a long standing affiliation.
Motivation can come in a variety of ways, and is beneficial to different people in a variety of ways, depending on their personality. Whilst some feel the urge to get up and exercise, for others it takes a lot more. Comments from other people is another common method which people use in order to spark them into life. However, for some it is not until they have the kit and equipment that they feel it is necessary to get outside and shred the pounds which were previously put on, in some ways it is done to almost force them to exercise. Therefore the use of items such as sports bottles, clothing and equipment could all prove advantageous and act as the exterior incentive which some personalities require.
Many are also fearful to go for runs at this time of the year, because of the cold weather. Many would much rather stay warm inside, and do not recognise the varying sports clothing which can keep people warm whilst exercising, and just how quickly you do warm up when exercising effectively.
