Printed sticky notes are great for all companies. They are used in so many situations and having a brand name or logo on them acts as a fantastic reminder of a company and a brilliant promotional item. Sticky notes are used everywhere and for many different reasons.

They are great for making a quick note of something that needs to be remembered or for leaving a note for someone who isn’t around at the time. They are particularly popular because of the sticky strip on the back which allows it to be stuck almost anywhere; this means that generally, the note will not get lost or be blown away. Post-It Notes were first released in 1980 - after many different products that used the same sticky substance failed - and they soon became hugely popular with their bright canary colour (which was chosen by accident after the lab team used a scrap piece of yellow paper to test the sticky substance). Since then other brands have come out with similar products, although they are all regularly called Post-It Notes, regardless of whether they are from that brand or not.

These days, sticky notes come in so many different shapes, sizes and colours. You can pretty much get them to your exact requirements; some are proper pads – some square, some rectangular and some in unconventional shapes (circles, flowers, dolphins, for example) – some are in booklet form, some are just little slips that are good to use for marking pages in a book or folder, some even come in a little holder with a pen!

There are also sticky notes that come with a mini calendar or have a magnetic back to attach them to your fridge. You can even get eco-friendly sticky notes if you want to keep it green! Sticky notes are now being used in technology software also. You can put a ‘sticky note’ on the desktop of your computer or laptop as a reminder for yourself.

However, they are boring and dull, cannot be branded and most definitely cannot be given to other people. Also, they’re only useful if you are actually on your computer. Some people use sticky notes all the time, for everything because they are just so handy. They can often be re-used and are often stuck everywhere in a workplace – on files, on computer screens, on desks, on the walls. That’s because they are quick, efficient and easy to use. You can’t go wrong with a sticky note!

Many people don’t like sticky notes as they can sometimes look quite messy when there are loads of them littered about and they will use a pad of paper or make notes on the computer. These are both valid and easy ways of making notes but to use a pad of paper takes a lot more effort and as said before, if you are not on a computer, you can’t use the computer!

Sticky notes are so popular and they are bound to continue being popular for a long time yet – especially with all the different shapes and colours you can get them in now. They are absolutely perfect for taking notes in almost every situation and they will very rarely let you down.
