Promotional Items for Schools

Many businesses find at this time of year that their budgets are almost up, which is why we recommend to many to invest the remaining budget into promotional items.

When planning a marketing campaign, most people will look at upcoming events, or charities in the local area which they can support. However, what many businesses forget to consider is the branding power of sending promotional items to local schools.

Perhaps you are a new business wanting to target parents, or a local business wanting to do the same. Even if you are a larger business you may want to send promotional items to local schools as part of your corporate social responsibility policy, to show that you are thinking about the future generation.

Funding can be very small for schools, especially nursery schools which are privately funded, so any promotional items you want to give will be appreciated by the school. Think carefully about what products you want to invest in, it needs to be something that the school will actually need. You are, after all, saving the school money so this should be your main consideration.

Perhaps the most obvious product you could invest in is promotional pencils. These can be branded with your company branding, brought in bulk, for a very low cost. Unlike pens, pencils are used by pupils of all ages. This means if you are targeting a primary school then you can distribute the pencils for all classes, which leads to more brand exposure.

You could provide each pupil at the school with a water bottle. Scientists have proven that drinking water helps to aid concentration, so it is highly recommended within schools. One major positive with providing these is that water bottles will be taken home by pupils which mean that parents and even family friends may see your company branding. Transportability is one of the key factors about water bottles.

Finally, if you are promoting to older children you could invest in homework diaries. These will again be taken home by the children. Many schools make the parent sign the homework diary each week to ensure they have actually read what their child has to do. This is another major positive for investing in these items.

When targeting schools there are many different promotional items you could invest in, all of which would work really well in promoting your business and ethics.
